Teuta Žilavka Selekcija – Vintage 2021

Žilavka from Herzegovina is slowly but surely making its way to the very top of the wine scene. The taste is excellent, complex but extraordinarily harmonious. Alcohol gives it strength, acids give it freshness, a small amount of unfermented sugar gives it sweetness, and the dry extract gives it richness. Ripe fruit aromas of peach, banana, pineapple, apple, followed by aromas of dried fruit; figs, apricots, dates, then the aromas of almonds, vanilla and honey are noticeable.

Wine with 14% alcohol, Teuta Žilavka Selekcija leaves a rich, ripe impression on the nose, a dominantly fruity aromatic profile dominated by ripe yellow fruit, peach, apple, honey, kiwi. On the palate, a clear mineral trace, tamed acids, notes of peach, apricot, wet stone. Medium body.

Gastronomy recommendation: It goes great with mature cheese, prosciutto, seafood, shrimp, tuna, white and blue fish, roast veal and lamb, but it also goes very well with a sweet dessert.
It is drunk at a temperature of 12 to 14° C.
